Come & Visit

Ever WONDERED how your waste can power and heat your home? Then come along to our open day to find out! SELCHP is taking part in Open House London this year, opening to the general public to tour the site and see how general rubbish is turned into electricity and heat for local homes.

Join us 9am – 1pm Sunday 21 September 2025 at Landmann Way off Surrey Canal Road, SE14 5RS

SELCHP processes 435,000 tonnes of general rubbish every year from London homes and businesses. The energy produced is used to generate electricity for the National Grid, enough to power around 48,000 homes, provide heat for around 2,800 social homes, and power Westminster City Council’s fleet of electric vehicles.
